I think its only fair for the teachers to choose a student, since they are the ones who are "stuck" with them so to say, and are the ones giving advice. Just my opinion though.

I would be interested in having a mentor on post processing, if anyone is interested please let me know.

Thanks,

Great! either way!
anyone you wanna take on??

Adz is young and seems talented, and I like his B&W stuff. I think we would get along well. ;)

Can I be a student and a teacher? I really need help with portraits done with one or two flashes.

I can be a teacher, though a lot of what I do is instinct, not knowledge, so I'm not sure how much help I'd be.

Always looking for help in processing, would really love to understand Layers, and taking objects from different photos and combining them to look good like in an expert editing challenge. I will take any help I can get :)

I'd love to have someone teach me EDITING. I find this to be my weakest area. I tend to shoot nature, landscapes, pets, and macros. (I don't get into shooting people).
I have PS CS5, shoot with a Canon 50D, and have a variety of lenses.

Love this idea, I don't know where I fit in though. I feel I have come along way and know quite a bit, but I still have a lot to learn.

I will sign you up as a teacher! you will also learn a lot from it so being a teacher is like being a student and vice versa

I'm looking to be a student...I''d like to get paired up with a portrait photog. Not that I am really strong in other areas but I'd really like to improve in portraiture.

tentatively raising my hand (with trepidation I might add)...but I'm not sure which camp I'm in...I think I might be able to help "someone" but I'm thinking maybe I need more help than others...I would love to work on Portraits and I LOVE B&W. But I have no lighting (at present) and I don't know where to start....

So I guess I will let you guys/gals put me where I belong...(hopefully not on the curb)

ETA: this is a FABULOUS idea heida

Can a student have multiple teachers and vice versa? It may be difficult to match full range of interests in a 1 on 1 model. So, for example, an expert in PP with CS could take on a number of interested students. Same with Portraits, B&W etc

Any teachers for lensbaby photos? I find it very difficult to get a decent shot.
04/26/2011 10:32:25 PM · #46
well its a bit messy here, I am sending pm´s back and forth trying to line up students - teachers
some are not answering, so if you please students or teachers you can pm me and tell me which one you would like to line up with :)

Even though I would in many ways much prefer to learn from Heida and Judi and others (there's so much to learn!), I'd like to be on the list for "teacher" at this time.

I can probably help out with closeup photography, nature and otherwise, natural light, photo-impressionism, stuff like that.
