Sorry to make another thread but my other one was more of a "give me tips" post. This one will show off my first weekend out with the D700. In the past, with D70 and D90, I found that the theater was hard for me. If I did get a decently lit shot, it had noise and I had to Neat Image it to the point where it started to look a little plastic.

As you can see, the D700 is quite different.

5000 ISO - 1/500 - f5.6
20 Meters from subject.

I wanted to get some higher shutter speed and a little more DOF for focusing so I had to pump up ISO to 5000.

Zero editing on this - NOTHING DONE TO THIS IMAGE EXCEPT CROP.....Yeah baby !

I'll post more later tonight and tomorrow. Thanks for looking and for comments.

Amazing.....I remember moving up to the D70 from an HP Digital P&S. I'd say that difference is equal to the distance between the D90 and the D700.

Truly mind blowing stuff. Im considering an upgrade myself and have almost convinced myself to wait until a D800 is released. But honestly who needs more than iso5000
