I was put on a mission from my volleyball coach to find him a good video camera to capture games and practices. He figures sense I know photography then I know videography... Sadly I don't know much about it. With that being said I thought I would come here for my first source of information because I trust you guys more than I do advertisements and such...

This is what we are looking for:
Price - $250 - $300
HD - I assume if it is HD then it will be a good camera (again I don't know much about it).
Wide angle option - Because it is going to be capturing a rather large area (the court) we have not found a camera that gets the whole area desired into the frame.

Any suggestions...?

I can't give you any great advice, but I will point out that HD does not a quality camera make. There are many cameras that will "upscale" to an HD resolution, or have ridiculous amounts of noise in their HD picture. HD pretty much only refers to the output file resolution, unfortunately.

I'm no video expert either, but I subscribe to the GoPro --- channel on YouTube for all the cool videos they make.

I've never used one before, but the lens is wide, it does great slow-mo though I don't know for how long, it's very rugged, and waterproof.

All the videos I've seen are outdoor, daylight, so I suspect it may suck at low light.
