First off, I hope I am allowed to do this and am putting this in the correct part of the forum.

I have several pictures of a national guard shooting team practice that I attend every month. I am hoping someone may give me a few critiques here and there for the next time I shoot with them (well shoot something that doesn't go 'bang' with them).

shooting info:
Sony A500
minolta 50mm F1.7
average f-stop: 1.7-2.2
Iso 800-1600
shutter speed 1/2800-4000

I will post more images, but for now (due to time constraints) I have this one ready to go (I only put about 3-4 minutes of digital enhancement into the image)

Original thompson machine gun

Any tips would be appreciated,
Travis Walthall

Actually, the correct forum for that is "Individual photograph discussion". The critique club is actually something slightly different from what you are looking for.

It's an interesting shot, but the shells being discharged are very small in the frame and get kind of lost in the background. I guess the actual crop you use depends on what you want to convey and show.

A clickable thumbnail will probably get more people looking at it to offer feedback. Photobucket did have that ability to give me code for a thumbnail:

I did a quick edit of my own on it. Cropped, applied a little clarify, some saturation, contrast and sharpening.

Thank you very much, I will go ahead and put a little more time into them and start up a thread in the proper area.

Thank you again,

I was going to say. I haven't seen one of those critique club messages on a photo in ages.
