When I look for an answer on here , I can sooooooooooooo never find it.

I thought it would be a good idea to have a new forum thing.

Labeled ' Problem solving

and then have sub categories of

computer
camera (different ones for Canon then Neeekon)
shark attacks
PC
PS

Because, I can never find what I am looking for in one place, i know we have something like this, but no one ever seems to post in the same spot for the problems, this way it is all streamlined. That and the fact I have had 5 cups of coffee this morning

It is extremely difficult to find something in the forums. A better search capability would be extremely nice. Perhaps when you search for something, it brings you to the actual place in the forum. Right now, when it just gives you a list of forum subjects, you still have to do searches inside those forums.

First problem to solve: How to use search engine.

(I'm really sorry, but I just could not resist. You were begging for that snarky response)

The forum search is wonderful and accurate. Anybody who tells you differently just isn't using it properly.

As an example of the wonderfullosity of the Search function of DPC:

1. Click on (advanced) to the right of the search button.
2. Type in "Strikeslip is totally aweome", Be sure to use the quotes, as this will force a search on the exact phrase.
3. Activate the Extended Search Mode radio button.
4. Click search.

You are now presented with 316 results, because that is exactly the number of times someone has typed "Strikeslip is totally awesome" into various threads. Well, maybe add one for this thread now.

Two things proven here:

1. Strikeslip is totally awesome.
2. DPC forum search rules.

Except that doesn't work as advertised. Consider the following thread, one of the returns generated:

//www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=1028261&highlight=

That thread contains the words "Strikeslip" and "totally" and "awesome" in various places within it, but NOT the phrase "strikeslip is totally awesome".

One thing proven here:

1. Strikeslip is not as awesome as he thinks, jejeje™ :-)

Did you know? Waaay back on April 1st 1986, April fools was invinted.. Mr. T and his buddy had just finished eating lunch and his buddy offered to pay, as he was writing the check for dinner, he couldn't remember what the date was. So he asked Mr. T, "What month is it?", and Mr. T responded "It's April Foo!" Thus April Fools day was born.
