I went to the toy store looking for the bits as they where when I was a kid, you know the mouth, eyes etc to stick on a real potato and found to my amazement that you can just get it now with a plastic potato already provided. Where´s the fun in that? Found it too expensive and went with another idea. Still... weird evolution of what was once such a wonderful toy.

(I do like the character in the Toy Story series though, how he keeps losing his bits all the time. My daughter thinks that´s hysterical. Although Buzz is still one of my favorite movie-characters of all time. I don´t know why, but I have a soft spot for him, especially in part II when he finds out he can´t really fly. Anyway, this is getting off-topic)


Funny story...(and my Mother did laugh at this) my mother had many different "parts/pieces" that we were always trying to located in her later years as she would forget (Alzheimer's) where she would put things so we teased her that she needed to become a Mrs. Potato Head and store all her bits n pieces in her "compartment"...she would laugh

Yeah. I was thinking the same. It had a lot of what I expected to see, and a whole lot more of what I didn't expect to see.


Not voted in these yet, but went through them all last night and was not thrilled. Some VERY nice clean creative shots, but a whole lot of spuds. :)

Just finished voting and commenting on every photo in the challenge. Congratulations to everyone as this was a particularly difficult subject to get anything "outstanding" with but, some of you managed nicely! :) The average score I gave was higher but there were a couple that I just couldn't give decent scores to as one was a shoehorn and one, I think was mis-entered??? Not sure what that one was all about but, it was a nice shot! :)

ETA: Other than these two and one that was just not quite up to snuff, the lowest scores I gave out were 5's. :)

The pictures here were far more creative for their use of basic editing... I wish mine were better... but is is early as Carrie said...
