I'm using Mac OSX 10.6 on a MacBook Pro.
In Photoshop CS4 I was able to zoom into an image, then hold down the Option key, and with two fingers on the touchpad, fluidly pan through the image, in all directions.
Now, in Photoshop CS5, when I do the same, I only get really slow panning, and it only works horizontally and vertically, rather than in all directions as it did before.
I can't find useful information on this searching online. Does anybody know how I can get the behaviour from CS4 in CS5? It was really useful.

Maybe last weekend wasn't a good time to ask :) I'd be glad if someone could help me out with this though.

See if this is what your looking for. All I could find. I have CS4.

Nope, that's not it unfortunately. The gesture I'm talking about is for panning, not zooming. The scrubby zoom doesn't change the behaviour of that. Thanks though. Does anybody else have an idea?
