Working the clock in your favor by taking a knee is just as much a part of the game as working the clock in other ways.

I heard someone once ask Ken "The Snake" Stabler what his favorite play was, and his reply was that it was called "Win the Game" -- the kneel-down to run out the clock with his team leading ...

Gawd that was a game for the ages. The mark of a real champion-caliber team is that they find a way to win when they don't have their best game. I mean, 150+ yards of penalties, including two MAJOR questionable interference calls, would rip the guts out of most teams...

GO PATS!

Bah, I gotta buy the first round now, when my friend from Boston comes to town next week. :)

What a game! Just the way it should've been..except the score was wrong. Ha.

Working the clock in your favor by taking a knee is just as much a part of the game as working the clock in other ways. Even though I don’t like to see a team take a knee, its no different than spiking the ball to stop the clock. To do away with one you would have to do away with the other. But there is logical reason for taking a knee in the NFL. If the team didn’t take a knee and scored, some would say they were showboating and/or trying to run up the score. A more logical reason is why take the chance of letting a player get hurt in the last minute of the game when you have it won, use the clock.

Ya, good point Scott. You're absolutely correct. I'm still REALLY happy they won though.

Wow, that's what I get for switching over and starting to watch the Seattle-Cleveland game on DVR at about 5:00 left. Guess I'll have to catch it on Sportscenter.

All I can say is "WOW!" That was the toughest game the Pats have had all year, but tell me that was not an awesome comeback! All smiles here!

Geez... I'll say! I got a call from Sears to let me know approximately in what decade they're going to deliver our new washer and dryer, and in the meantime the game got completely turned around. Yeesh!

Ha ha ha! My buddy the Raider's fan will like that. Notice how on that last Moss reception only drew the flag after he had already caught it. That's so the ref's can at least "look" like they are calling it fairly. ;)

Does it make you feel better when they continue to not call offensive pass interference on Randy Moss's push offs?

The defender was holding Randy's arm so he couldn't get it up to catch the ball. It should have been defensive pass interference.

I feel like I'm talking to a Seahawks fan after their Super Bowl. Moss has gotten away with shoving defenders throughout his career. Don't cry about officiating when the Patriots get plenty of (mis)calls their way too.

Yet still the "non call" hurt the Patriots. I think it has something to do Bill Polian being on the competition committee.

Its easy for us to see from our vantage point and the replays, remember the refs are there onn the ground at the same level with all the obstructions in their way to see what is going on.

I think they are both doing a great job, pity that there arent more numbers on the board, but that is a testament to two great teams who are playing well IMHO.

Who paid off the refs? Faulk got turned all the way around by the coverage and there is no pass interference call??!! If the Patriots corners even breath on the Colt's receivers they get a flag.
