Wow. Didn't realize it's been 7 years since this challenge was last run. Dang. I noticed that the last one had 170+ entries and for some reason mine has almost 600 views since (and it finished near the bottom with a 5.0 something).

I'm happy this one is being done again (and not because it's "Minimal") - I just find it interesting to see how some things looked when flipped.

Well, we are up to 53 entries. Respectable . . . but no record :(

I absolutely adored my last entry, but it was one of my lowest ever.

I still love it!

After you mentioned it before I had a look at some other photos I'd taken after the challenge was announced and I do have some contenders there. Just not the one I shot especially for the challenge.

Think I'll bump this - in the hopes of stirring up quite a bit more interest. Seriously, if you've taken ANYTHING in jpg since July 28th, take a look at it inverted (in the negative). You may be surprised.

I shot something I thought would work for the challenge but minimal killed it. Guess I'll have to try again.

Good reminder always :)
I actually did remember. I had gone out with camera set to RAW and jpg so I put my jpgs in a folder and then ran through them with FastStone which allowed me to quickly try invert on many of them. Some of them were quite predictable - in the sense that I pretty well knew what the result was going to be before I clicked; others were very much a surprise. It was fun.

Yes, I did much the same yesterday. You can't tell before doing it which ones will look appealing.

No matter what you usually shoot or what you've shot recently, do take the time to run a bunch of your photos through taking a look at them in the negative. I just did and I was amazed!! Really excited by this challenge now.
