Be careful what you wish for...usually those nestled comfortably in the high 6s and 7s don't participate in score threads, and this is a very tricky challenge to do well in!

I realise that, but I'm surprised by some of the top photographers who are reporting scores in the mid-5's or less. I'm under no illusions that I'll win a ribbon with this one :)

Settling in, but the comments make the score more palatable.

Only comfort is my understanding that Vincent van Gogh never got high votes either when he was alive :-)

Maybe you should vote?

How exactly would this make me want to enter more Art challenges, Lynn?

I'm so confused.

Statistically (over my eight years), my commenting average is 2:1
and my voting average is 1:2

We all have the stuff we do...

But, I would like to hear how my voting would help my scores. You think people will recognize my images... and... vote me higher because I gave them a high vote?

If so, I don't play that way.

Regardless, since I vote in every challenge that I don't enter, if I voted, it would help others... not my Art scores (which I'm quite willing to do... if someone will kindly remind me not to enter Art).

I'm so confused by your frequently saying that I should vote.

But, I've asked before...

“It is a cruel, ironical art, photography. The dragging of captured moments into the future; moments that should have been allowed to be evaporate into the past; should exist only in memories, glimpsed through the fog of events that came after. Photographs force us to see people before their future weighed them down....” Kate Morton.
