I love NIN and Johnny Cash so this is almost a perfect marriage. I don't think this tops the orginal though.

i saw the video the other day on tv and at first i couldn't believe what i was seeing. the song is oddly fitting, considering how personal it is. i don't agree that it's better than the original as some reviews have suggested - reznor's brutally honest delivery is much more striking. still, the video is incredible. the online version doesn't do it justice. the waxy, gothic buffet and atmosphere of decay is brilliant. it's a very emotional delivery.

now that was greatness... johnny c, the original man in black! wow... he does lots of covers too.. if you do a video or audeo search on KAZAH under "rusty cage" you will find a video or audio clip of johnny c. doing a cover of soundgarden's "rusty cage".. it's greatness too! check it out
