I just ran across this, but it has some really good music included. It's by no means a "100 best" just 100 that worked well and have a nice variety, but pretty cool, as well. Lots of good ones in there.

100 Riffs (A Brief History of Rock N' Roll)

I don't know about "indie" ...
Alberta — The Chad Mitchell Trio
Attics Of My Life — The Grateful Dead
Ice-Making Machine — Midnight Radio

OK, people seemed to enjoy themselves. New playlist. New genre.

I'm looking for indie folk type stuff. Acoustic. Nice harmonies if you got em. I'm open to songs from other genres if they fit the feel. Here's an example of what I got to build on:

If Ever There's a Reason - Derby
Pop Art Blues - Zero 7
Lay Me Down - Crosby & Nash
Seven Bridges Road - Eagles
Come to Jesus - Mindy Smith

LOL

Such a random addition! Also, love the Dead Kennedys. I tried to keep my list down to easily consumeable.

Seems like most of these you can hear on any classic rock station. If I never hear "Free Bird" again, it will be too soon. How about some neo-surf or European prog?

That's a personal song for me, I love Aerosmith and many of their songs were so much more prominent in my playlist until I met my wife :) It's our song....

Well I can forgive you :)

My wife and I have a song too, Broken Wings (Alter Bridge)

Heck ya! This is going to be one long playlist. I'm never in the car for more than 15 minutes. It will take a month to get through. :)

I'm gonna check a bunch of these songs out, but some I know that will definitely be added:

Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Born to be Wild - Steppenwolf
Lola - Kinks

Great suggestions and love those two songs in particular.

Maybe I missed them in the list of great suggestions, but how about Lynyrd Skynyrd? If you don't want the slower songs like "Free Bird," you could go with "Sweet Home Alabama," "That Smell," "I Know a Little," or "Call Me the Breeze."

Yes! Those songs bring some great memories.

And don't forget School's Out - Alice Cooper.
