Looks like a damselfly to me. Nice gold and lavender hues. |

Insect aficionados: what is it?
I think that skewsme is right. A damselfly is a type of dragonfly only that I never saw one on my lamp and without a bright body

This really doesn't belong here but I don't know where to place this exercise.
Strolling in Hudson, NY, I was struck by how many buildings reminded me of Hopper.
