I've been waffling, but what the heck. The weathered railing he/she is sitting on is a third floor porch of a destroyed tenement in downtown Harrisburg, Pa.

These hawks have assimilated themselves into the various nooks and crannies around the city and they are happy, brazen, and really noisy. I do a lot of night shooting and they are constantly sounding off like nagging wives. They are a delight.

I absolutely LOVE the idea of a blog to tell stories about my pictures.

Cool, i'll add peoples blogs to my bookmarks.

I also started a blog this week for my photos and writing and i'll be putting my abstracts up there. I won't be writing about the photos though, rather writing bits of fiction, poetry and random incoherent ramblings that may compliment them if anyone's interested in that. About 10 years ago i used to write and illustrate comics with a photoshopped type of photography style and i want to get back into doing that.

Can I ask a daft question? How do you make a blog? I have never done one and it might be a nice idea. Not a daily one or anything daft like that just a weekly one to talk about the walk I am on when I take my piccie. Or I could just put lots of waffle in the pic descriptions!

It's very easy and free. I use Wordpress which seems as good as any. Wordpress. Just sign up and you'll be up and running in no time then you can customise your pages etc

I used blogger.com and hooked in to my current google account. It took a very short time to set it up (then I spent a bunch of time playing around to customize it). I also found an iphone app (blogpress) that will let me update from my phone (havent' tried it yet).

My brother and I finally got our blog up. He is a writer so we are working on melding the two. We have one post, hopefully we will get a new post up each week. Currently using Blogspot bug plan to switch to Wordpress so I can post larger images.

Help! Being a novice who has not posted pictures before, I'm having trouble figuring out how to do it. Is there a step-by-step procedure somewhere? Thanks.
