Two weeks ago I did another TTD shoot. Brit flew over from Perth for the shoot and we shot over a two day period. The local Fire Station were kind enough to come along with their smoke machine and gave me one of their boys to play with for the shoot. The Firie(RJ) stepped out of his comfort zone and had a blast. I had them do all sorts of crazy things....from traipsing through a rundown house in the night to posing on the back of a motorbike, climbing down steep cliffs and over large sharp rocks as a snake crossed our path. I had them stand in the water with a candelabra and sip on a cup of tea. I had them tie Brit half way up a tree and cover her in smoke, before being thrown about in the water. Her cathedral veil tangled nicely through all the weeds and weighed her down...but it didn't stop them having fun.

I know that some of you have mistaken the woman in my FS image to be me....but it is Brit. Over the years we have been mistaken for sisters many times...although I have to admit that she has now surpassed me in the figure department. She holds many national and International titles in fitness and although she wasn't in her training regime at the moment...I am sure some of you will cringe at her physique.

I have finally finished the images from this shoot and have put together 60 of the ones that I like into a short video on Youtube. Simply click on the thumbnail below. The video is available in HD (by clicking on the HD button at the bottom of the video). Give it time to download and I am sure you will find one or two images that you can enjoy.

Anyways....that's my story.

I love it Judi. You've always been one of my favorite photographers, through the camera and as a person. You take amazing photos and this video shows that. Congrats on your ribbon winner and everything else you have done.

Do you have any shots of you taking the photos? Kinda like a behind the scenes??? I've curious to see how you got the model and background perfectly lit without blowing one of the out. Care to share???

Here is one image taken behind the scenes. There was a lot of video taken of the shoot where you can see both Brat and myself working the shoot...but that will come much later. I haven't even looked at the footage yet.

Awesome, I can't wait to see it all. I would love to go on photoshoots with people. There is just so much more you could learn from someone else ya know.

Hmmmm that might be an idea for later.

I want to know what sort of miracle dress that is!!!???? To stay so white and crisp after being dunked and mudded to death!

LMAO!!! I actually did 4 of these shoots. I had the dresses made for each of the models and they all ranged in style and were all in white/ivory shades. They were used in all sorts of places, horseback riding, sea water, swamps, mud, dams, lakes, rock climbing, old rundown houses....and much more. They were each dry cleaned afterwards and all came up beautiful. Even the 3.6meter veil that was dragged along the bottom of the muddy lake...came up a treat. The biggest problem was the dress that was used on the horse was also used in a farm dam. The dress had many, many layers of fine material, that collected loads of tiny leafed weed. The drycleaners had to spend days handpicking each tiny leaf out from between all the layers. They did a great job and you wouldn't even know it had been worn. All the beautiful details, like embroidery, diamantes, roses etc never got damaged.

Oh well... FOUR dresses....

Still, even in the water, they appear to remain amazingly clean. Or is that just some of your PS wizardry :-)

From a distance they looked great...but close up and you can see the dirt and grime scattered over the dresses. I wanted the girls to let rip and just have fun...be kids again...and trust me...they did. I am sure we brought half the beach home in the dresses...lmao!

Funnily enough, I have two wedding dresses hanging around for TTD. One is full, lace, beads , diamontee things, I just stuck it in my washing machine and then it hang dry. Came out amazingly. not a scratch on it or a bead out of place. This thing was dragged up mountains, down caves, in lakes, on rocks, in the desert etc.

Oh, I get it - The Wedding Dress Club! How many do YOU have hanging in your closet!?

You gals are too much :-)

And yes, Judi, it looks like everybody had a great time. They flying veil is my favorite.

Wow these shots are really inspirational, and are coming at exactly the right time for me - I'm doing a TTD for my first EVER wedding in a couple of weeks - great to see someone with experience at it. However my bride only has two dresses, and we're going to have our first "trashing" session the day of the ceremony in the morning before it all kicks off! She'll then have to get re-dressed and hair/makeup before the guests arrive. It's going to be nuts but I am sooo excited by the whole thing, we've got some great stuff planned out so far and I might bounce a few ideas off you if that's alright Judi!

Now, where to get a motorbike... :-p

LMAO!! No worries.

I only used 1 dress per girl and the shoots were spread over a 3 month period. Each girl had their own session. The dresses were used once only.
