Typically, it is but that is also weather dependant. I have been down there in the middle of November, bright sun and a ton of people. It is still an awesome place for photos, crowds make for good street photography, and the walk up to West Lake Center isn't that bad at all. Heck, it has been a couple of months since I have been panhandled or seen anyone undressing in the middle of the street or talking to street signs. Those activities are always a plus in Seattle heehee

Not sure at this point but jaysonmc suggested Washington Arboretum which is really nice this time of year. Could always scour around there as well as Pioneer Square and the Market...open for any suggestion though.

The market might be cool, is it less crowded in the non-summer months though?

I'd like to go, but it depends on when and where. Is there a time and place yet?

Hi Mick..

Not yet, we are still working on that portion. It has been kicked around to have it end of October (weekend) either the 20th/21st or 27th/28th. It would be very nice if you could make it Mick.

I'm pretty open myself (as long as it is a weekend). Those weekends sound good.

Wow, we'll need name tags for this one!! I'm excited - now we'll just have to hope the weather improves a bit.
By the way, chances are very good that my husband Paul ( plamprec) will be there, too.

We also need to figure a weekend that works for everyone, as well as an agenda and where we would all like to meet...

I'm flexible and don't get out much, so anything is ok with me.

I'm interested! I'm away October 17-25 so if it's then I'll be said :(

Then maybe we should push for the weekend of the 27th and 28th of October. How does that sound to everyone?

Now how did I KNOW you'd have something to say about us? *g*
But despite it all, Paul and I are silly enough to look forward to seeing you again, too.

Sounds great to me! I'd suggest aiming for the 27th, in case it's raining cats and dogs that day, we still have the chance of postponing to the 28th.

This is getting big! Anyone have a bus? Being new to the area I'm looking forward to meeting some people. Any weekend should work for me.

We can set a back up indoor location in case of major rain. The Museum of Flight might be cool? I'll do some looking/thinking/asking for other possible locations.

Don't know about the bus...is the mono-rail working? If it is we could meet down at the Seattle Center, putt around there for a time, take the mono-rail to WestLake Center, mess around there for a time (good food for lunch), walk from there down to Pike Place, catch a fish or two, then walk down to the waterfront and maybe check out the aquarium? Just an idea and weather dependant of course...

Some of the rest of us have Nikons, too. [:)]We'll feel like dimes among a bunch of nickles.[/:)]

Damn, I'm out of town on the 27th. How about the weekend of 20th-21st? Or the weekend of Nov 3rd-4th?
