Same here. Either it takes a reaaaally long time to load or it gets stuck in process of loading. I'll keep it in the background and see if anything shows up.

One moment, I seemed to have broken it.

Edit: Fixed now.

Seems to work for me although I didn't let it finish playing because when I tried to vote it a 3 it resetted.

Well, I'm posting in while listening to the upload music. So far, so good!

end comments: cool to see it done in video! I think I'm going to buy one of those 4x6s...

Wow! When I first joined I looked at DPC prints. As soon as I saw the blurb about aspect ratios my brain went into voluntary coma mode, like it does when I read about alchemy and the black arts...so I left and never ventured in there again.
This video has been an epiphany!! Now I'm tempted to have a go;)

Loved the music. Thanks for taking the time and the trouble.

What a wonderful wooorld!!! Very clear and excellent background music ;) I guess you couldn't sell your print for $1000.00 because you forgot an extra "0" in the cents (well maybe I am wrong). The aspect ratio explanation was really helpful, it is easier when you watch a movie about it.

Questions:
So if you have a 3MP camera you still can submit for DPCprints? it only will limit the size of your prints, right?

Is there a safe way to boost the size of your image (a program for example)?

Thank very much you I have seen all your videos now and all are excellent, I would like to save them for reference, though.

Congrats!

Thanks Ivan, and everyone :)

Yeh, I couldn't put in the extra 0 for cents because the box wouldn't let me input any more numbers! Shame really, I'm sure I'd get tons of sales at that price :P

With a 3mp camera you can definately still submit, although you may be limited in size, you're right. You could definately get a high quality 4x5, and probably a fairly good 8x10 too.

Boosting the size of your image is what I was doing with the resampling in Photoshop. There are programs designed specifically for that use, Genuine Fractals I think is one, but I'm not sure if I got the name right, it's been a while. However, the step-by-step increment upsizing in Photoshop should give your more than satisfactory results :)

Yes! DPC programmers are truncating your profit possibilities LoL

Thanks for your answers, with "boosting" I meant pushing it a bit further than PS to get a bigger (fairly good) image. Genuine fractals seems to work thanks for that.

Sorry Ben,

One more question, then with CS2 you don't have to do the incremental resampling? The program does that by itself? Or you can still improve it by doing one step at a time.

Thanks

Ivan

I'm not sure if it says officially, or if I've just read it somewhere or been told by someone, but I *think* CS2 does it automatically.

I thought you were taking the #**## Ben ! I only saw the screen shot and thought that was it until I read further and realised it was a video !
Great job - very well done (I did finally click on it and watch !)

I never tried to upload a print before, I thought it was too complicated for me. But you made it look so easy that I couldn't miss the chance to give it a try.

Thanks for putting together an excellent tutorial :)

Btw ... gotto love the brit accent :)

That's a great tutorial, Ben. I tried one time to upload a print and got so frustrated I gave up. Now that I know all the tricks, I'll be sure to give it a try again. My favorite part was "Don't they know how much my photo is worth..." :)

You rock!

Very cool tutorial Ben. The video style makes it very easy to follow along. Now you just have to show us how to get a photo approved instantly like that. ;-)

Best tutorial ever! Nice to hear some real English too. I must have been living here for too long.

EXCELLENT JOB! I know a lot of people (myself included at first) are confused with the whole exact aspect ratio thing. You explained it very well. And after you get that process down, it becomes quite easy. Thanks for the hard work. It's the best tutorial I've seen on here. :-)

Oh, that is the best tutorial EVER!!! It looks fabulous, is incredibly helpful, and has the added benefits of a soundtrack and some humor :-)

Keep 'em coming!

Now THAT'S what I call a tutorial!
Pat on the back for a job well done.

Edited to ask: Can we please have a tutorial on making such wonderful tutorials?

Well done! I have just recently become a full member in the last couple of weeks and was wondering about how the prints thing worked and I think this answered all my questions! Thanks for taking the time to put it together!

Very cool, Ben!

This is essentially what I do for my job - make animated, narrated tutorials like that but they are on much more fascinating things like patent databases and I don't have a sexy accent. :/

Thank you so much for this, Ben! I don't feel intimidated anymore by attempting to upload to DPCPrints. It's a great tutorial.
