are any of you experiencing this with your 5D, on my canon 24-70 2.8 i have been noticing this more often in my wide shot seen here
could it be my lens hood, (i guess i could have done a test befor e i post this thread) but maybe you notice it with your wider angle lenses

While it varies with the specific lens, light fall-off is a fact of life with WA glass. There are physical reasons why it *has* to happen. Lens design can minimize it to a degree, but never eliminate it. It was always there with film, but so many younger photogs have no relevant experience, so it is a "new" problem to them. It's not really a function of the camera model, therefore, but really a function of full-frame.
It's very easily correctable, though, and for many applications,e.g. portraits, it is desirable.

Of coarse that CZ 21mm distagon I'm looking at doesn't seem to vigenette too much...

Try a prime like the 24 1.4 or the 35 1.4. I think zooms have more of a problem with it than primes.

I thought that full-frame sensors struggle with the problem of vignetting more than film because the sensor doesn't like light striking it at oblique angles. The microlenses help, but don't completely correct, the issue.

I'm planning on casually testing this on vacation next week. I plan on using the 24-70 zoom, and the 24/1.4L and 50/1.4 primes.

What do you think of the 24 1.4? I've heard mixed reviews. Are still driving through Denver?

I think that CZ 21mm @ $3300 is way over priced right now.

im going to try and take some shots this week without my lens hood on and see if that could be some of the problem,
or do you think thats not a problem

I really like the 24/1.4. It's a bit of a special purpose lens, I really bought it for night landscape work, and I have not been able to get much time to do any. Hopefully soon. It holds up pretty well for astro work, though there a little more of the "bat wings" than I had hoped for. Astrophotography is the toughest test for any lens though. In normal use, even wide open, it's very sharp across most of the frame, softening in the corners but not objectionably.
I too feel the CZ 21 is way overpriced, I struggled with the price when it was in production and at $1500. I would love to try one ofr astro work, I reallywonder if it's that much better than the 24/1.4 at f/2.8 tho.
I proly will be coming thru Denver on my return trip, most likely late on Apr. 15 or early on Apr. 17. Might be a good break point; I probably won't know my exact timing until the day before.

IF that's easter weekend, I'll be in Missouri. ;(

I wonder if Nikon makes a good version near the 21mm range that's close to the CZ 21mm.

this vignetting is not a problem if you shoot raw, then it can be fixed in cameraRaw in photoshop.

I notice it from time to time but it doesn't bother me that much, en if it does I just fix it ;)

I've heard it more properly describes as light fall off.
Welcome to the world of FF sensors/cameras.
You are right, stopping down will help and I think this is more prevalent with wide angles.
