I protest the 'Crop it TIGHT II' challenge on the grounds that those using cameras with smaller sensors will be at a disadvantage.

Shouldn't we have an even playing field?

If you are worried about being inadequate in size, then I'd suggest you work on "Cropping it TIGHT" in-camera. Lots of challenge topics might give some advantage to folks with specific hardware (e.g., Macro challenges / macro lenses, landscape challenges / wide angle lenses, minimal editing challenges / cameras with lots of in-camera features). Try to spend less time looking for ways you might be disadvantaged, and focus on ways you can creatively overcome any limitations, explore your boundaries, and shoot in new ways.

Somebody using a cell phone will probably win this challenge.

Oh, I've got plenty of sensor size ... just using this challenge as an example of how the playing field is never actually "level". There's always a workaround solution.

Funny you should mention "minimal editing challenges / cameras with lots of in-camera features" as that was the thread I referenced and one of the complaints against allowing in-camera features for minimal challenges was it wouldn't be fair to those whose cameras didn't have as many. I thought we should allow in-camera features on those challenges. Thanks for making my point. :-D

Eh, there are numerous ways I suppose - some weird, some not. Don't really effing care really. Thanks for following my trends though. :P

Anyway, at 1200 pixels maximum dimension, there's not a camera out there that ANY of us are using that can't be dramatically cropped in post and still display well (as long as the image is properly exposed, at least). But YOU know that, right Barry? It's just chain-yanking time today?
