When I first came to DPC I know I was keenly interested in in depth critiques on my photos. While in a discussion on another thread I decided I would sign up for the Critique Club. My commenting has been down for the last few years so it seemed like a way to improve that. I know there was a feeling for a while now that checking the box had become pointless and hopefully I can help reverse that trend.
Looking forward to keeping a clean queue and hopefully you all remember that I am not a trained professional even tho I play one on television.

Contact Us has a Critique Club link: you need to get registered with them, and then images are assigned to you at random for critique when you click on CC.

Who is running the Critique Club? It used to be HBunch, but she hasn't been very active in some time...

Manic I believe. At least he's been the main contact person since I joined the CC some years ago

'Success! The current queue is empty due to the hard work of Critique Club members like yourself!

Try back soon!

If you're up for it, you can take a stab at one of the ~64,779 older requests that were never fulfilled.'

THAT would be a true "comment bomb"!

Yes, it would reach the "kilo-post" range ...

Is there someone I should talk to about progress/status of my application?

Did you use the correct button on the contact us page? The last option is specifically for the critique club

I checked my image for critique. I have not received any...should I assume that my image will not be receiving the critique? I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place. I'm just wondering. Thanks

That moment when you click on the "Give Me An Image..." button and what you get is something you cannot find anything to say about, even after staring at it on and off for a couple hours? Yep.

I didn't want to bail on it, so I said what little I could and asked for a little more input (all it lists is EXIF and a title in Abstract Macro), and let the person know that if they could at least nudge me towards what it is and/or what they were trying to say then I'd be happy to amend the critique. I'm somewhat embarrassed because I can usually find something to say even about some of the blurred messes that get posted here, but this one? Eh.

My apologies to the group. I've gotten some pretty good feedback up until now.
