I was actually seriously thinking of going... wife has no problem with it. Sat with my finger on the "buy" button at online travel agency today. Had it only been a little warmer. 5000 miles is far to mostly sit in the hotel room. Planned on arriving friday night and flying home monday mid-day.

ETA: My keyboard is apparently dyslectic.

If Beetle and her hubby still lived in the Seattle area I would so be there. I can still recall the fun I had meeting several members of the DPC family a few years ago.

As for a meeting place, you could always meet up at the wall which is covered with gum... great photo op.

Do have a wonderful time.

Ah.....shoot. I can't go on the 22nd of January. My daughter is competing (in agility, obedience, and showmanship) at one of the largest dog shows that weekend in Portland, Oregon. Have fun....I wish I could go.

I would suggest meeting just outside the original Starbucks store and walk across to the park for a group photo. Then walk thru the market grabbing candid shots etc. There is plenty of stand up food everywhere like the dim sum bakery, French bakery, etc, etc. Enough to meet every ones tastes or diets.Starbucks

I wondered why you kept her on a leash the whole time we were down there......

My kids exhibit agility, obedience and showmanship. And they're out of the nest.

Sorry you won't be there. It would be good to meet one of my Team Discovery teammates face to face.

Hee hee, good one. :O)

Dr. Confuser.....I hope my kids demonstrate that too when they older. :O)

This is the biggest show of the year for us here in the Pacific Northwest. She is a junior handler in the AKC, and we are actually competing starting on Thursday.

I really would love to come.....just the wrong weekend for me.

If there is nothing magic about the 22nd, I propose a shift so that njsabs can attend...

No...don't change it just for one person. Thanks though, I appreciated it. It would make things way to confusing if dates started switching around. I do hope to make it someday to a GTG. I think I may start one myself closer to Portland Oregon sometime this spring.

I would love to try to go to that one. I'll keep an eye out in the forums for your thread and details. :)

Nope not yet. Someone had suggested the gum wall. I've never seen it. Or then there is some place in Pike Place. I think someone else suggested the original starbucks.

Any other suggestions?

I would be game for the starbucks. Where is it? lol I've lived in the seattle area my whole life and idk where it is...

I sugest we just meet at the pig sculpture by the flying fish shop, and go from there.
