Cool idea, I like the thought process behind it. I think that a little splatter on the uniform would have looked really interesting, however the image is great as is. I give it a 8.

Hey maybe I could teach you how to take good macro spider shots in return for your knowledge of not overprocessing. LOL
Focus should have been on the head not the thorax. Would have looked much better. Could have cleaned up and removed the debris in the image also.
