Erythronium oregonumby tnunComment: At first, I started to dismiss this one. But then, somehow, the effect here drew me back and I'm still looking at this. Its been a couple minutes now and I don't think I've ever looked at a photo for so long. My vote is clearly proportional to how long I'm looking at this. Very nice. |

Now, I'm a bit surprised this is rated so low. Its a clear attempt at "doing it wrong" with getting a result normally seen with film. I wish I could say more. I didn't vote in this challenge, but I would have voted on the higher end. |

The blue buildingby gminkComment: **Greetings from the Critique Club**
Certainly a humorous shot. A few things come to mind that I think would improve the shot. I'll make the assumptions that this was a quick shot as you were passing by, so things such as time of day may not have been something you could control.
I'm also not familiar with the surroundings, so I'm not sure if anything I'm about to say would be practical. So, take it for what its worth in that context. :)
A shot slightly zoomed out showing some of its surroundings would make it a little more appealing. Not too much to make it small but to give it a little head room. In addition, a vertical shot may enhance the central object. Finally, were there any other angles available? Something a little less flat on and showing more depth would add as well.
