Nice solid composition, love the solidity of the rock against the softness of the water. And the ripples in the water are great, they add some unexpected texture for such a long exposure.

Keeping in mind that landscapes and seascapes are always thick on the ground in FS, you have a lot of stiff competition. A long exposure and interesting feature to look at are a good start, but just not enough. The colours are somewhat muddy and uninteresting; if there ever was a shot that would probably benefit from desaturation, this would be it. If the colours are somewhat bland, then make the shot about the shapes and forms; a hit or two of contrast wouldn't hurt either.

Also consider easing up a little on the deep dof, esp when it's quite overcast and looks late in the day anyway. I feel that it adds to the murky cast to this pic.

Overall not a bad shot, just some technical adjustments and you'll be fine.

I thought this was Muriwai before I read the title. Someone in a recent challenge thought that that one of my challenge entries was taken here. There are definetly similarities between the two beaches. I really like your perspective

An interesting image that contributes to the open challenge.

This is a pleasing scene and composition with subtle lighting on the bridge to give it a somewhat ghostly effect. I doubt whether the meteors would have registered with such a long shutter speed, although they can be quite bright they are so brief their light if it did register would be very insignificant. Tanguera's constructive comments are relevant but I actually think a softer focus adds to the atmosphere of the shot. I don't believe every shot always has to be pin sharp there is definitely a place for soft focus and OOF. All in all a pleasing result Craig, thanks for sharing

An interesting image that meets the challenge well.

Your positioning has enabled you to make good use of the arch and distant mountain combination and all this against the backdrop of that lovely sky. What an interesting arch that is, it looks very delicately balanced, in terms of size I suspect that its much smaller than we are led to believe here? What I like most about the image is the lovely tonal range, it works very well. To be honest, the more I look at it the simpler I wish the composition was so that we could enjoy that wonderful sky for its own sake. An excellent entry Craig, well done.

Very lovely. Having tried this sort of thing myself, I know how difficult it is to focus in the dark. This image seems to miss it's mark just a tish.
