Can't really tell you what to improve with this, and can't tell you why I really like it either. This is just one of those shots that seem to mirror those moments in life when things seem to being going according to plan, but any minute, something could happen to steer you off course.

Interesting shot... I'm not completely convinced by the composition, especially the section of wall down the left hand edge of the shot. The textures are great, and the man adds interest and mood. I think what I like least about it is the patch of wall which is much lighter to the right of the man. The eye is usually drawn to the lightest part of a photo, which makes it hard to know where to settle on this photo.
