Behind the Wood Pileby BakerBugComment by tinmason: I thought this image would do better than a 4.7. I gave it a seven. The angled lines add to the composition. I think I would have put the 39 abit off center or try to eliminate it as it distracts from the flow of lines in the composition as the eye tends to stop at the 39 and not continue with the natural flow of the composition. The blue pallet tends to offset this though. I think the problem most voters had with the image is a lack of punch...I might have waited for the sun. You have darks and midtones but I think it needs some highlites and maybe add some texture with USM. IMO. Again, I thought it would do better, just needs a little work. |

Behind the Wood Pileby BakerBugComment by Nobody: Not a very interesting subject. The focus seems to be more on the "39" than anything. The pallet in the upper left corner is so out of focus it is distracting.
The light is good, as is the color balance. |

Behind the Wood Pileby BakerBugComment by ericpi: Nice non-staged subject. Nice job with the DOF. The only negative is that the cropping seems just a bit too tight to me. |
