Nice composition. Not entirely sold on the B&W as I feel it lacks some contrast. Maybe if there was a wider tonal range, but it feels safely in the middle. Very nice shot though.

Dawn, this is such an amazing photo! It looks like you had a very slow shutter speed to get that dreamy water and sand -- yet the birds are so amazingly crisp and sharp! I'm in awe! Congratulations!!!

Oh, and P.S.: I definitely agree with Citymars and not Teafran about the negative space thing. That's what makes this so striking is the minimalist effect of those birds in that sea of soft dreamy bokeh!
