This photo was shot in a small park next to the St. Lawrence River in Cape Vincent, New York. On the horizon is Canada. The temp that day was 6 degrees Fahrenheit. I am so glad this did well.

It meets the challenge well. It sorta has a "snapshot" feel to it IMO. Perhaps, if the lighting came from the left or the right, it would add a dramatic effect to the photo?

I think this is a very good photo. A very bold approach to this challenge. Obviously, it's a simple shot, but it's executed well. Sometimes less is more, and this is perfect example of that concept. I hope that it finishes in the top 20.

Okay...I really like this photo. I don't know why. I just do. It meets the challenge. I love the background. The lighting is perfect. IMO it has a "goth" feel to it. This is a bonus to me. It has a sharp focus and the DOF is great. 10
