Another Lonely Night

Thank you all for these wonderful comments and the high score. I had my doubts submitting the image for the challenge because it is far from my style.. if I have any. But just as I was walking near my home one beautiful evening I noticed the golden pond and that kind of lonely duck that had just arrived. I took some shots and thought this was the best. As I write this on a sunny evening where the pond could be struck with the same gold - it is far away from that: we have black ash clouds over this part of Iceland due to the volcano erupting last night. Does not look good.

Walk On By

I want to thank the Alternative Fine Arts Jury for awarding my “Walk On By” image in Fine Arts: Exhibit 2 as “Second Honors”. The image was not well received by the voters in the challenge, placed 145 of 162 images with the avarge score of 4.81. But the jury just made my day. I am deeply humbled.

The comments from the jury:

One image that I totally missed when voting is Walk on By. I'm liking this more and more... love the shape of the legs! Go-go boots! Colors are subtly wonderful. It makes you work and it rewards you.

- I also missed Walk on By and find the shapes and colors to be gorgeous.

- I like the movement, the 1960-Nancy Sinatra-ish of this. It's so hip and cool!
