I have been looking at this image for 5 minutes and feel calmed. The way you have manipulated the light is difficult and required a great deal of patience during editing. The colors have drawn me in and I feel at peace. Your perspective is one of having rediscovered a beautiful and quiet place we all remember. This image is destined to become a painting.

Gorgeous image Richard. I had to throw on a jacket just to look at it. I think the thing which impresses me most is how you managed to manipulate the image just enough to make it life like. Yes, thats exactly it ..... LIFE LIKE. I've been to many lakes just like this and feel the chill, smell the trees and fear the damn cold water!! ;-) Congrats on an epic win!

Very cool P. Assuming a new body logo?? I think the subject matter is not fitting for the challenge, the focus is messed up and the colors are over saturated. Besides that, I would not have cropped so tightly and I find the border to be very distracting and suggest you use fill lighting where lighting would be used to fill places that need filling. Other than that, its a great shot and remember you are a part of the community and we appreciate your willingness to make this into a useful learning site. ;-)
