I didn't vote this challenge, but I think this would have gotten a good vote from me. I like the strong perspective and patterns. Works good in b/w, as it makes the patterns into the star of the show. I also would have guessed it as yours or your dad's because of the title. I would guess you photographed this when we were doing the Trinity Trot.

Your flower reminds me of a star- as if you could use this in some sort of "sun" contest- an abstract sun. Bright hot center and cooling the further out from the center. Gorgeous!!

Like the colour, personally i feel the right edge should be in shot and the two starnds at the top and bottom should be cloned out

Its quite an intriguing image but the focus is a bit soft and there are some highlights blown, and for me it would have worked better all mono but a good attempt, hope you do well with it.
